The short version
The data you chart never reaches us. Everything else on this page is about the ordinary business of serving a web page.
Your data
Charts are drawn by code running in your browser. Text you paste, files you choose and options you set are processed on your own device and are not transmitted to this site, stored by it, or seen by anyone here. There is no account, no login and no saved-chart feature, so there is nowhere for your data to be kept even if we wanted it.
The "copy link to this chart" button puts your data in the fragment of the URL, the part after the #. Browsers do not send fragments to servers, so the link carries your data directly to whoever you give it to, and not through us. Anyone who has that link can see that data, so treat a chart link as you would treat the spreadsheet it came from.
This site stores nothing in your browser either: no cookies of our own, and nothing kept in local storage between visits.
Server logs
When you load a page, our host, Cloudflare, processes the information any web request carries: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. Cloudflare uses this to deliver the site and to protect it from abuse. We see it only as aggregate traffic figures, and it never includes anything you typed into the tools.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It does not set cookies, does not use local storage, and does not track you from one website to another. There is no Google Analytics on this site.
Advertising
This site carries, or will shortly carry, advertising from Google AdSense, which is how it is paid for. While the application is being processed the ad slots are empty and no advertising cookies are set.

- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland you will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time from the consent link on the page.
Advertisers receive nothing you type into the tools. That is not a policy choice we could reverse quietly: the data never leaves your browser, so there is nothing for us to pass on.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal data, we do not run email marketing, we have no newsletter and we have no login, so there is no account or profile of you here.

Pages may link to other websites. Their privacy practices are their own.
Children
The tools are useful for schoolwork and are safe to use for it, because nothing entered is collected or transmitted. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age, because we do not collect personal information.
Your rights
If you are in the EU, the UK, California or anywhere else with data-protection rights, you can ask what personal data we hold about you. The answer is that we hold none. You are still welcome to ask, through the contact page.
Changes
If this ever changes, say if charts become saveable or an analytics script is added, this page is updated with a new date at the top before the change goes live, not afterwards.
