AxisPlot is run by Adrian Hall. I build small web tools that do one job without asking you to sign up for anything.
Why this one exists
Most free chart makers want an account before they will draw anything, put their own name across the bottom of your chart, or upload your spreadsheet to a server to render it. None of that is necessary. A chart is a few hundred lines of arithmetic and some SVG, and all of it fits comfortably in a browser tab.
So AxisPlot has no sign-up, no watermark and no upload. Your numbers are read, charted and exported on your own machine. The only thing the site knows about your data is nothing.
What I try to get right
The parts other tools skip, mostly. Reading "1.234,56" as a European decimal rather than throwing it away. Starting a bar axis at zero but not a line axis. Choosing histogram bins by a published rule and then rounding the edges to numbers you can read. Saying out loud when a dataset is ambiguous, since a column of 03/04/2026 could be March or April and only you know which, rather than silently picking one.
And arguing with you occasionally. The pie chart page explains when a pie chart is the wrong choice and links the bar chart page. That costs me a bit of traffic and it is the right thing to put on the page.
How it works sets out every one of those decisions, with the sources, and links the two source files so you can read the code that does it.
How it is paid for
Advertising, or it will be: the site is new and the ad slots are empty while the application is processed. There is no paid tier, nothing is upsold, and no advertiser receives anything you type, because nothing you type reaches this site in the first place.
Mistakes
If a chart is wrong, a number is misread or a page claims something it should not, I want to know. Tell me and I will fix it and say what changed.
