Worth writing about
- A chart that is wrong. The most useful thing you can send. Paste the data that produced it, or send the chart link, and say what you expected instead.
- Data it read incorrectly. A number format, a date format or a delimiter that confused it. Each one of these is a bug worth fixing, and the fix usually helps everyone using that format.
- A chart type you need. Box plots, stacked bars, grouped lines and area charts are the ones most often asked for. Saying what you would use it for helps more than the name alone.
- Something on a page that overstates the case. Including on this page.
What to include
The page you were on, the browser you used, and the data if you can share it. If the data is private, the chart link is enough for us to reproduce the problem, and do remember that the link contains the data, so send it only if you are happy for us to see it. A description of the shape of the data works too.
What we cannot do
We cannot interpret your results for you, say whether a relationship in your data is meaningful, or help with an assignment. How it works explains what every number on the page is and where it comes from, which is the honest limit of what a chart tool can tell you.
